Western Star Equestrian Drill Team is a group of women from all over the South Bay including Morgan Hill, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista, Aromas and Hollister. Our teams first priority is to spread the awareness of cancer and encourage people to be aware of signs of cancer to help get early treatment. We wear the color Pink to help support cancer patients and to stand in the fight against cancer. We also keep our costume prices down so that we can pledge half our sponsorship to the Fund Research places such as The Mayo Clinic. The Mayo Clinic operates 3 research hospitals and over 50 clinics, and is one of the worlds preeminent medical research facilities.

We are riders ranging from different riding levels and different ages from teens to mature adults. Our team was started in 2008 and we are still very excited being a new team with high hopes for more competitions, parades and rodeos in our future.

We had our first showing at the 2008 Salinas Rodeo Parade, where we took home our first First Place Trophy! Again in 2009 we took home a First Place Trophy and our first competition was in Ceres, CA in May 2009 and we came home with 2 Second Place Trophies!

We would like to invite you to sponsor our team. As a sponsor you will be a part of our extended team to support us as we enter into our competition season. Our sport is a costly one. Expenses begin at home with the purchase and maintenance of uniforms and horse equipment. Each competition has entry fees and travel costs. Western Star gladly accepts with appreciation any amount donated for sponsorship.
